Verdict: An excellent game for football addicts

If you fancy your chances of doing better than Alex Ferguson, Championship Manager 2007 might be the closest thing to the job.

It offers all the match analysis that real managers use to assess players' performance, including the goals they have scored and successful tackles.

During games you can give motivating talks to players, either praising them or telling them to work harder. Players also have their own personalities when it comes to transfers.

The look and feel of the game has been improved making menus easier to navigate.
